Depression and anxiety can cast a shadow over every aspect of life, making it challenging to find joy or maintain a sense of peace. Obsessive-compulsive behaviors can interfere with daily functioning. Every individual deserves a life free from the weight of these conditions. I use evidence-based approaches to help you navigate your way out of the darkness, providing you with tools and strategies to regain control over your emotions, thoughts, and actions.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurological and developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others, communicate, learn, and behave. Although autism can be diagnosed at any age, it is described as a “developmental disorder” because symptoms generally appear in the first 2 years of life. Therapy for adults on the autism spectrum is tailored to your specific needs, helping you develop coping mechanisms, improve social skills, and enhance overall well-being.
Life transitions are significant periods of change that individuals go through during their lifetime. These transitions often involve shifts in roles, relationships, responsibilities, and personal identity. These transitions include such events as launching into adulthood and leaving the parental home, entering the workforce, marriage, having your first child, job change, empty nest, retirement and loss of a loved one. Recalibrating a sense of self during these transitions can be beneficial as you embrace your own evolution.
I acknowledge and affirm diverse sexual orientations/gender identities and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to express themselves. Support is offered for individuals who may be questioning or exploring their sexual orientation or gender identity. Clients are encouraged to engage in an open dialogue as we navigate their self-discovery process. Parents of LGBTQIA individuals are also supported as they learn and grow within new relationship dynamics, and communication issues, as they become more understanding and accepting of their loved ones.
